What’s in a Haystack?

Tonight we made dinner for about 75 folks and made Haystacks.  It is a cross between Frito Chili pie and Taco Salad.    It was good.

First you start with Fritos or Tortilla chips and put chili over them.  Then layer onions, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and top it off with some homemade salsa.

We also had Buffalo Hot Wings, vegetable soup, and then we had backward pumpkin pie for dessert.

Everyone was full and went away happy.  That is what we like.

We are serving meals at Joplin Family Worship for survivors, volunteers, and our workers.  We average about 100-200 meals per day.  From May 22 till now we have served over 45,000 meals.

Have a good evening and be blessed!
